Just Getting Started!
Welcome to our new blog online. There are definitely a lot of people in the sales industry writing blogs these days, but do they "really" pull away all the political correctness of a topic? Get down deep into the core of the issue and drill out the reasons for it's success or failure?
We will step on toes, talk smack about people, debunk even the most popular trends in sales and certainly give you food for thought. We're not here to win over friends, get rich off a blog or to push some products/services for sales trainers, companies or ourselves.
We're here to "give back"! It's as simple as that! From time to time we'll list links to our "linkedIn" groups though so you can share in the fun conversations that go on in the sales groups there. We'll occasionally make links to areas on the web we feel cover details about selling techniques or strategies we find worthy of reading. But the bottom line, we're going to share our expertise with you.
Unlike some of the more generic sites that just seem to regurgitate lessons from 90 years ago with changed cliche's and strategies, we're going to dive into any subject matter and hit it hard! After all, when you're out in the sales environment, it's game on! We all know that. so why should our training be any less intense?
We're going to start this blog with a basic layout. We'll soon be writing a book that's going to hammer home the "BASICS" of sales. But I assure you, the information will be anything but basic. It will cover topics like the 7 phases of a sale, Cold Calling techniques, Networking, etc. But it's going to dive very deep in the areas that are necessary for you to be successful. Like: Strategies to close a deal, getting past gatekeepers, uncovering the "real" truth behind your client's answers, how to destroy the competition with a smile, etc.
We're going to challenge today's theories about networking, its effectiveness, types of events that are best, how to really work a room, and more. Slide into subjects like top performers, their quirks, their power and how to catch the wave. Detailed subject topics on just how to leverage the power of your company's database. Working with the team, while securing your place in the pack. Uncovering the hidden gems during discovery phase and locking out the competition. Does the early bird "really" get the worm? We'll debate this topic to its Nth degree.
If you want to learn from those who simply write books, this probably won't be the blog for you. But, if you're wanting to learn from the drill sergeants of the business world who have massive time in the trenches, then fasten your seat-belts, lock us in, and be prepared to grow! No wimps allowed!
Side note: If you want to become one of our top bloggers and "help" establish a quality place for sales people to learn, please write me. I will not let you post if your intent is to make money. There's plenty of blogs out there with hidden ads everywhere and we're not going to disrupt our time with things that cannot add value right here for the "right" reasons.
Tell your sales friends about us, we want to become number one. Actually, we know we will be, but we're trying to hide our modesty.. :)
